Speech Therapy Across the Lifespan

FAQ

Do you accept insurance?
We do! We are Medicare part B and SoonerCare providers and are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oklahoma.  We also welcome private pay clients and will provide you with a receipt you can submit to your insurance provider to access out of network benefits.

What types of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check, credit card, or FSA/HSA card. We require payment at the time of service and can securely store and charge your card or bank account if desired. Private pay clients receive a 20% discount when paid at the time of service.

How long do therapy sessions last?
Typical therapy sessions last 30, 45, or 60 minutes depending on the individual client.  We will decide on a session length together prior to beginning therapy.

How long will I need to have speech therapy?
Every client is different! It depends on your goals and how quickly we get there. It may just take a few visits or we might continue for several months. Either way, you decide when you’re satisfied with your progress and ready to discontinue therapy.

Will I be present for my child or family member’s therapy sessions?
Yes. We require that parents be present for their children’s therapy sessions. Some children do better without their parent’s direct involvement in the session but we like to incorporate parents and family members as much as possible!

How do I know if my child needs speech-language therapy?
If you have any concerns about your child’s speech and language skills it is always a good idea to talk to your child’s pediatrician.  We offer comprehensive evaluations done by a licensed speech-language pathologist.  An evaluation in no way obligates you to any therapy; it simply gives you a more complete picture of your child’s current speech and language skills and allows us to make individualized recommendations.  An evaluation may show the need for therapy or put the parent’s mind at ease. If you are unsure whether to pursue an evaluation you may call Sara at 918-288-0540 for a free phone consultation. It may also be helpful to review these speech and language milestones.

My child receives speech therapy at school. Can we still do private therapy?
Yes! With your permission we will contact your child’s school speech pathologist and collaborate to help your child progress.
